Money and Fishing
Fishing is the main source of income.
The market
Each fish species has an independent price. Selling pushes that species' price down; it recovers over time.
A varied haul sells for roughly twice what the same volume of a single species does.
/fishmarket shows the real payout before you commit to a sale.
Prices also drift on their own, with occasional shocks announced in chat.
Discovery and records
A species is hidden from the market until someone sells the first one. That sale reveals it server-wide and sets the first record.
Records are by length. The current holder can pay to give that species a permanent public name until someone lands a longer one.
Where fish are
Species are tied to biomes. Some also depend on moon phase and time of day.
Magic from fishing
Catches occasionally yield enchanted books, magic stones, or a spellbook. Luck of the Sea improves all three. This is the only renewable source of Mending.
Villagers
- Trades are one-way. Villagers sell; they do not buy.
- Prices are in emerald blocks, not emeralds.
- There are no librarians.
- Discounts do not apply.
Curing a zombie villager requires an enchanted golden apple and several potion effects active at once. A plain golden apple does nothing.
Shop
/shop sells hearts, a totem, a stat reset token, the three information items (see Birth and Bloodline), a moon dial, and fish naming.
