What to know to stay alive once you are born.

When you die you lose 3 hearts, and all your money goes into your head, placed where you died.

• Anyone can eat it and take the money.
• Heads can be picked up, carried and placed again.
• Keep your wealth in fish or items if you do not want to carry it.

Upon your final death, your soul goes into your head where you died, and you respawn soulless. It is advised to collect this head promptly.

• You have at most 3 hearts, and you lose no more hearts when you die.
• You cannot use magic at all. Wands do nothing and Alkatraz commands are blocked.
• You have no genes, or star chart.
• You cannot give birth codes.
• You keep full use of the market and the shop.

You can return if you are reunited with a soul, but this can't be done alone.

Mobs are far more dangerous than vanilla. Almost every hostile mob casts spells. Killing them is the only way to learn those spells and grow in magic. See Magic and Mobs for exactly who casts what.

• /spells Spell options, custom cast codes, and your cast hotbar.
• /alkatraz stats Your stats. Check your affinities at birth. Higher numbers mean more damage and resistance in that element. Negative numbers are weaknesses: you deal less and take more.

The server follows the real moon. At full moon the nights are short and violent: mobs hit 25% harder, spawn with up to 50% more health, and often carry armor. Spellbook drops and Arcane Knowledge are nearly doubled.

At new moon one day and night lasts about a real day. At full moon it lasts about two hours.

Every custom fish has its own price and chart in /fishmarket. Fishing is the only way to earn money. Sell your catch, or buy and sell with the market's movements.
