Fishing is the only source of income. ===== The market ===== Each species has an independent price. Selling pushes that species down; it recovers over time. A varied haul sells for far more than the same volume of one species. The more of one fish you dump, the less each one pays. ''/fishmarket'' shows the real payout before you commit to a sale. Prices also drift on their own, following the moon, the planets, births, deaths and the dragon's element. Each fish reacts to these differently. Sometimes a fish, or a group of similar fish, makes a sudden move. Big moves are announced in chat once they peak. [[:info|The live market page]] shows every discovered species at once, with charts, records and the market index. Same numbers as ''/fishmarket'', a few minutes behind at most. ===== Discovery and records ===== A species is hidden from the market until someone sells the first one. That sale reveals it server-wide and sets the first record. Records are by length. The current holder can pay 11,111 to give that species a public name, until someone lands a longer one. ===== Where fish are ===== Species are tied to biomes.
